The Zánka Centre, situated in a woody, garove environment, offers numerous types of comfortable accommodation, a private beach, lake port, sport facilities, open-air sport courts, a theatre, conference hall, and open-air theatre stages. It is ideal both for holiday-makers seeking an active holiday, and for students seeking to learn.
Nature-lovers can take trips to neighbouring forests and use the gym facilities in the open spaces.
For longer excursions the Centre offers buses, boats and sailing boats.
There is a wide range of reasonably priced accommodation available, particularly for children, groups of young people, families and groups of friends, from simple rooms with 6-10 beds, to well furnished hotel rooms with telephones, full and partial board service and of course buffet meals.
Every year around 45 000 visitors come to the Centre. Most are groups of Hungarian children and youth, but many are groups from Austria, Germany, and Russia. Many of our visitors return in the following year.
Besides the above services, from spring to autumn there are free sport and cultural programmes. Occasionally some of our world-famous sponsors participate in these programmes, but mostly our partners, with the help of other specialists arrange them.
After the summer season - in the so-called dead tourist season- we focus on education.
We have a secondary tourism school, which is a foundation school but works as a normal state school. We also run further education courses for unemployed young people and adults. A lot of our winter guests attend conferences and festivals held in the Centre.
Auditoriums, conference halls and technical facilities are available to deliver our education programmes and conference.
